A recession proof investment! People go to more movies during a recession! Beats real estate, proof below. The lower the cost of the movie, the better the chance of profit. The Blair Witch Project cost $ 35,000 and grossed $240 million and Tadpole cost $150,000 then sold to Miramax Films for $5 million. I set this all up to ensure at least a minimal profit, with the chance at really big profits. The budget is very low. It takes very few, small, and easy to achieve TV sales to cover the budget. If this were baseball, a few TV sales is like an unknown team getting a few singles and scoring a run. And even underdog teams sometimes hit a few home runs and beat the Yankees! I have set this all up so we come out ahead with just a few singles and just a run or two. Even unknown bench players sometimes hit home runs! This is what I am going for. I fully expect this movie to be highly acclaimed, and to win awards, so that suddenly our unknown team gets some big wins. What you will get out of it: 1. A chance to make a really good profit. Profits are open ended for 10 years. Movies like this have a long life on TV. You can invest as little as 10K. 2. Credit as executive producer. 3. A chance to be in the movie. Meet the cast and crew, attend the wrap party, and VIP premiere. 4. You will be helping to create art and make the world a little bit better, with this meaningful movie. I have a game plan which includes festivals, TV, direct to DVD sales, internet sales, and theaters. My project compares to a similar priced local project which earned about 1.5 million, AFTER the investors were paid. And my project is better! There are high percentage profits in low budget movies. |
This movie will help create empathy and understanding for alcoholics, addicts, battered women and prostitutes, and inspire some such to get help. It will help make the world just a little bit better. The Characters: Leah, about 24, cocaine addict, alcoholic, prostitute. Slim and attractive. Sam, 42-49, recovering alcoholic, former baseball pitcher, physically fit. Pamela, 38-44, recovering alcoholic, she becomes Sam's girlfriend. They meet at AA. Orlando, 30's, drug dealer, and Leah's abusive boyfriend. Peter, 30's, Orlando's friend, he helps Orlando with drug deliveries sometimes. Minor role. Mr. Robinson, 50's, apartment manager, he helps Leah. Smaller but very important role. Tom, 25-30, minor role, he becomes Leah's boyfriend. They meet at AA. There are several smaller roles that you can play! (Of course if you can really act, and suit the role, you could be one of the lead characters!) I have been developing the scenes with actors, one by one, and have shot and edited a few practice scenes which you can see on the internet, by request. There are hundreds of English language networks and super channels in the world. Being broadcast on only two per year for 5 years can equal $1,000,000. In 15 years that's $3,000,000. Sam and Leah is a captivating story, and I think it will do 10 times as well. ($30,000,000). It IS possible. Earning back at least $200,000 or $300,000 should be a complete no brainer. Even garbage movies get shown on TV. Looking at it this way, I consider this low risk. |
